Meet the Creator Behind Bella's Garden
Hello! I'm Verl Johnson—a Jamaican author, beekeeper, mother, and lifelong storyteller.
Growing up surrounded by Jamaica's colorful flowers, butterflies, tropical gardens, and busy honey bees inspired my imagination from an early age. Those childhood memories became the heart of Bella's Garden.
As a beekeeper, I've always admired how bees work together with kindness, purpose, and community. Those same values are woven into every Bella story.
Every illustration, every character, and every adventure is carefully designed to help children slow down, imagine, and discover the beauty of kindness through timeless watercolor storytelling.
